Speak Up

My Health, My Choice: Navigating NHS Services

Thursday 15 October 2026
13:00 to 15:00

Navigating the healthcare system as a Disabled person or someone living with a long-term health condition can consume a lot of our time and energy. Especially as access becomes more and more digitalised. Whether it is getting an appointment with a GP, seeking a diagnosis, or accessing the treatment we feel we need, we can face many barriers along the way, and it can be hard to speak up and advocate for our own health.
In a workshop led by Merton CIL’s Speaking Up Supervisor, we will explore:
  • Tools and information to equip you to speak up for yourself within healthcare settings, including sharing tips and resources with eachother.
Who Is The Workshop For?
Anyone is welcome to attend, whether you are dealing with a current health-related issue or would simply like to feel more prepared for using the NHS and self-advocating in the future. You do not have to be an existing Merton CIL Member to attend.
Note. If you have attended a previous 'My Health My Choice: Speaking Up' Workshop then please note some exercises may be repeated.
Please RSVP by Thursday 8th October 2026 by email: info@mertoncil.org.uk or call us on 0203 397 3119
