We have vibrant Black, South Asian, Asian, Hindu and Sikh communities in Merton and we believe that we all deserve to live free from discrimination, feel safe and feel included.

We will work to create more spaces for our community to come together and connect. Spaces for us to share our lived experiences and shape the work of Merton CIL going forward. Together as a community, we can organise to challenge the issues that we are facing and make change happen.

Our Chair Estifanos said "'It is important that we think about inclusivity and intersectional themes in all the work we do. This is important in fully serving the needs of our service users, staff and community. As a Deaf and Disabled People's Organisation,  we mustn’t just think about disability but also other intersecting areas of discrimination that affect the lives of our service users, staff and community, including race and religion".

Please join us at My Voice Matters on 13th Nov, where we will be discussing the barriers that we are currently facing and creative ways that we can push to make things better. Together we are stronger and we would love to hear from you!

There will be free lunch and refreshments, access support, peer support and more.

We hope to see you there! You can find out more about the event and how to RSVP here.
